Communist Party announces Xanthi candidates
The Communist Party of Greece (KKE) announced its candidates to compete in the upcoming general and local elections at a meeting.
KKE announced the candidates for parliamentary seats from Xanthi and mayoral candidates for the Municipality of Xanthi and Bulustra (Avdira).
Candidates for deputies and mayors who will compete in the elections with the slogan "Only the People Can Save the People with a Strong KKE" were announced at a press conference.
Speakers, who also conveyed their condolences to those who lost their lives in the earthquake in Turkey and Syria at the press conference, said that as the KKE, they stand by the people of both countries.
DEPUTY CANDIDATES:
1- Vangelis Vakirtzis: 41 years old, barber.
2- Paraskevi Maheridou: Georgian immigrant, 45 years old, court clerk.
3- Birgül Maksum: 29 years old, residing in Koyunköy, working in special education.
4- Panayota Roidou: 43 years old, officer.
5- Haralambos Fotiadis: 72 years old, pharmacist.
CANDIDATES FOR MAYOR
In the municipal elections to be held on October 8, 2023, the KKE's Xanthi and Avdira mayoral candidates were also announced.
According to the statement, Kostas Vogiatzis will be the KKE presidential candidate for Xanthi Municipality and Paraskevi Maheridou for Avdira Municipality.
