BTAYTD 41st Ordinary General Assembly held
The 41st Ordinary General Assembly of the Western Thrace Minority Graduates Association was held.
At the end of the board, elections were held for the new management and supervisory boards.
The 41st Ordinary General Assembly of the Western Thrace Minority Graduates Association was held on Sunday, January 22, 2023. The general assembly started at 12:00 and ended at 15:00.
BTAYD 41st Ordinary General Assembly, which was held in a hotel in Komotini, started with the determination of the members of the council committee. The chairman of the council was elected Ali Ferhat. Koray Bağdatlı and Doğa Kasap were elected as treasurers.
Following the determination of the council committee, a minute's silence was held in memory of the recently deceased former Mufti of Xanthi Ahmet Mete and the deceased members of the association.
Only Mufti of Xanthi Mustafa Trampa gave a speech in the general assembly. Mufti Trampa emphasized how important the association and the work of associations are for the minority society and the struggle for rights.
Mufti Trampa thanked the current administration for their work and wished success to the newly elected board of directors and supervisory board members.
Later, BTAYTD Chairman of the Board Dr. Hüseyin Baltacı addressed the general assembly. Chairman Baltacı presented to the participants the annual report on the activities of the board of directors for the minority society in a year.
In the continuation of the meeting, BTAYTD Supervisory Board Chairman İlhan Mehmet took the floor. The association presented the report prepared on the income and expenses of the activities carried out in the association and the expenditures made to meet the needs of the association.
After the chairman of the board of directors and supervisory board made their speeches, criticism section took part.
After that the board of directors subsequently acquitted by the current board members.
After some members took the floor and presented their suggestions, candidates were determined for the new board of directors and supervisory board of the association, and then the election period started.
