Bazaar for earthquake victims in Türkiye in Komotini
High school students residing in Bağlar Neighborhood of Komotini showed an exemplary behavior and organized a charity bazaar for the earthquake victims in Türkiye.
Western Thrace Turks' aid continues to those who survived from the two major earthquakes in Türkiye on February 6, 2023, effective in a total of 11 provinces centered in Kahramanmaraş, causing more than 50 thousand people to lose their lives and thousands of people to lose their homes and properties.
High school students residing in Bağlar Neighborhood of Komotini organized a charity bazaar on Saturday, April 29, 2023.
In order to share the pain of thousands of earthquake victims who lost their relatives and property, and to heal their wounds a Bazaar was organised.
The event was also supported by the people of the neighbourhood, the cognates living in other Turkish neighbourhoods of Komotini and many cognates from different villages participated.
Elected minority administrators and representatives in the Rhodope region did not leave the youth alone, who carried out a meaningful and exemplary event.
In the bazaar organized under the leadership of the youth, meatballs in bread, as well as pies, muffins, cookies and desserts made by the women of the neighborhood in their own homes were offered for sale.
Participants contributed by showing interest in the products sold at different stands.
It was stated that all proceeds from the bazaar will be donated to earthquake victims in Türkiye. The attendees congratulated the youth.
