A day of mourning for Mayor Ahmet Kurt of Mustafçova
Mrs. Ayşe, the late mother of Mayor Kurt, was laid to rest on Friday, December 13, following the funeral prayer held after the Asr prayer in Mustafçova village. The funeral was conducted by Xanthi Mufti Mustafa Trampa, with many attendees from nearby villages coming to support the mayor in his time of grief.
The funeral ceremony was attended by notable figures, including the Turkish Consul General in Komotini, Aykut Ünal; Xanthi Mufti Mustafa Trampa; Kozlukebir Mayor Erdem Hüseyin; Yassıköy Mayor Caner İmam; former Mustafçova mayors Rıdvan Deli Hüseyin, Cemil Kabza, and Mücahit Dükkancı; Regional Council members Salih Yörük and İbrahim Amuçka; Xanthi Turkish Union President Ozan Ahmetoğlu; BTAYTD President Hüseyin Baltacı; and FEP Party Vice President Bahri Belço, alongside municipal employees and many residents from neighboring villages.
Mayor Ahmet Kurt expressed his gratitude on social media, thanking all those who attended the funeral or extended their condolences.
