20th International Alexpo Trade Fair to take place from May 10-14
The 20th International Alexpo Trade Fair is set to open its doors from May 10 to 14, bringing together businesses and consumers in a 3,000-square-meter exhibition space. This year’s honored region will be Western Macedonia, with numerous parallel events planned.
The fair aims to promote local businesses in Evros, boost their extroversion, encourage synergies, and attract even more visitors than the 50,000+ who attended in 2023.
A Long-Standing Business Tradition
Established in 1992 by the Evros Chamber of Commerce, under the presidency of Christodoulos Hambouris, the Alexpo trade fair has remained a pillar of economic activity in the region. Despite changing business landscapes, local enterprises continue to invest and offer high-quality products and services.
The Evros Chamber of Commerce remains a steadfast supporter of this initiative, recognizing Alexpo as the premier business event in the region and one of Northern Greece's largest trade fairs. This year, the fair is organized by the Chamber’s Development Agency, as announced in a press conference by Chamber President Christodoulos Topsidis and Development Agency President Panagiotis Tsitakis.
Representatives from national and international organizations, business networks, and entrepreneurs from Evros, other Greek regions, Turkey, and the Balkans will participate. For the first time ever, the fair will honor the region of Western Macedonia.
Aligned with Alexandroupoli's Liberation Celebrations
The 2023 decision to move the exhibition from June to May proved successful, so this year’s fair will again coincide with Alexandroupoli’s Liberation celebrations.
Topsidis emphasized the importance of expanding the international reach of participating businesses and noted that even those without a dedicated booth in the 3,000-square-meter exhibition area will have an opportunity to showcase their products and services in a designated promotional space.
"In 2023, we welcomed more than 50,000 visitors. We hope to maintain or even exceed that number this year," said Topsidis.
A Boost for Business Growth
Development Agency President Tsitakis described Alexpo as an essential business platform, offering companies a unique opportunity for networking, innovation exchange, and market expansion.
"Every aspect of this year's program has been designed to create a high-impact exhibition, providing new stimuli for visitors and businesses alike. Our goal is to strengthen regional consumer awareness while delivering optimistic messages about the local economy," Tsitakis stated.
Affordable Participation & Parallel Events
The participation fee for exhibitors remains unchanged, at a maximum of €60 per square meter. The parallel events program will be announced in the coming weeks, aiming to further enhance the fair’s appeal and engagement.
