20 more motorcycles for the Police Department
With the decision of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace State President Christos Metios, 20 motorcycles will be added in addition to the police forces working in the provinces of the region.
With the decision of State President Christos Metios to increase the resources provided to the region with the ESPA program, an additional 20 motorcycles will be given to the General Police Department of the State of East Macedonia and Thrace.
It was announced that the budget allocated for motorcycles was 282,000 euros. The DMTE Presidency had previously provided the Greek Police with a budget of 1.8 million euros for the supply of vehicles, wireless communication system, portable radars and road safety equipment.
It was stated that with 20 additional motorcycles, it is aimed to support the efforts of the police in DMT State to reduce and prevent traffic accidents.
State President Metios visited DMT State Police Chief Major General Pashalis Syritoudis. It was noted that the two had discussions about the motorcycle assistance to be provided and the security of the region.
