During the meeting between State President Metios and Deputy Finance Minister Skilakakis, expectations for the economic development of the region were discussed.

Skilakakis and Metios emphasized that important resources will be transferred from the Recovery and Resilience Fund for the infrastructure works of the region in the coming years.
It was stated that additional resources to be provided from ESPA, the new Common Agricultural Policy and Rural Development Programs will contribute to the development of the regional economy.
The Head of State and Deputy Minister of Finance said that the East Macedonia - Thrace region will turn into a geopolitical center in transport, energy and trade.
