An 18-year-old student was found dead Monday morning in her home in Dedeağaç (Alexandroupoli), northeastern Greece, according to public broadcaster ERT.

An 18-year-old student was found dead Monday morning in her home in Dedeağaç (Alexandroupoli), northeastern Greece, according to public broadcaster ERT.

Officers from the Dedeağaç (Alexandroupoli) police discovered the first-year molecular biology student from Democritus University unconscious in the hallway of a second-floor apartment in the city center.

The student, who was originally from Larissa, was taken to the Dedeağaç (Alexandroupoli) University Hospital, where an autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death, authorities said.
