Couple found dead in Dedeağaç home after days without contact

A 58-year-old man and his 55-year-old wife were discovered dead in their home in Dedeağaç (Alexandroupoli), on Friday, after relatives who had been unable to reach them for several days alerted authorities.

Police responded late Thursday and, upon arrival, requested assistance from the Fire Department to gain entry into the locked residence. Inside, officers found the couple lying unconscious on the floor. Initial assessments suggest the pair had died several days earlier.
An autopsy is expected to determine the precise cause of death.
Police said there were no immediate signs of foul play, while Fire Department officials are conducting a full inspection of the property as part of the ongoing investigation.
