121 grams of heroin seized in operation by Xanthi Police Narcotics Unit

In the most significant case, on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, in the Rodopi area, the Xanthi Police Narcotics Unit arrested a Greek national involved in drug trafficking. The operation led to the seizure of a nylon package containing 2 kilograms and 121.3 grams of heroin. Additionally, the police confiscated a car used in the criminal activities and a mobile phone.
In another instance on the afternoon of August 13, 2024, in Thessaloniki, the Drama Police Narcotics Unit arrested a foreign national found with two nylon packages of cocaine weighing 105.28 grams and a precision electronic scale. A car and a mobile phone were also seized.
On the evening of August 13, 2024, on the Ormenio-Ardani National Road, the Orestiada Police Narcotics Unit, in cooperation with the Kyprinos Border Police, arrested a foreign national driving a car. With the assistance of the police drug detection dog "NORMAN," two nylon packages containing processed cannabis ("chocolate") weighing 103.5 grams were found hidden in a specially designed compartment within the vehicle. The car and two mobile phones were also confiscated.
