Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) organised a 'Welcome Programme' for foreign university students studying in Ankara.

In his speech at the event, YTB President Abdullah Eren thanked the students for coming to Türkiye and advised them to learn Turkish. He also suggested the students to visit Türkiye and wished them a good future.

The Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) organised a "Welcome Programme" for foreign university students studying in Ankara within the scope of Turkey Scholarships programme.

In his speech at the event organised at a hotel in Ankara, YTB President Abdullah Eren stated that the scholarship holders have been in Turkey for 5 months. Emphasising that many students from the Turkic world, Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific, Africa, Asia-Pacific and Central and South America have come to Turkey, Eren thanked the students for choosing Turkey and said, "I hope this will be your second homeland."

Noting that 120 thousand students applied for Turkey Scholarships and 3 thousand 600 of them were entitled to receive university education in Turkey, Eren congratulated the students who received scholarships.

Stating that they have been providing scholarships to more than 40 thousand students for 12 years, Eren pointed out that students who comprehend Turkish are more successful in their departments and advised students to attach importance to learning Turkish.

Stating that many graduates from Türkiye are politicians, doctors and business people working in good positions in foreign countries, Eren wished the students a "good future".

Underlining that Anatolia is home to many civilisations, Eren advised students to visit Turkey in their free time.

After his speech, Ren took a selfie with the students.
