Turkish helicopter crashed in Greece
The TC-HMV registered helicopter belonging to the Turkish company Mavi Air crashed today morning while trying to land at Samos Airport.
According to the information obtained, the helicopter, which took off from Paros Island, wanted to refuel at Samos Airport while proceeding on the Bodrum route.
While landing on the runway, the helicopter, which was out of balance, fell nose down on the runway.
FIRE BRIGADE INTERVENED IMMEDIATELY
The airport fire brigade immediately intervened and sprayed foam to prevent a fire and the helicopter crew was evacuated.
It is learned that the pilot survived the accident with minor injuries and was taken to Samos Vaty hospital for precautionary purposes.
It is reported that an investigation was initiated by the Greek authorities.
