The first private general aviation airport in Greece opens in Amygdalonas, Kavala

The first private general aviation airport in Greece will operate in Amygdalonas, Kavala.
As noted in a related announcement of the Region of EMTH, the airport, which will bear the name "Lydia", is an important investment for the region and a model of successful cooperation between the public and private sectors.
Regional Governor Christodoulos Topsidis recently paid a visit to the facilities, in order to assess the needs of the investment and to highlight the critical role of the Region in the implementation and development of the project. The Regional Governor was accompanied by the Thematic Deputy Governor of Kavala Theodoros Markopoulos, the Deputy Governor of Entrepreneurship Alexandros Iosifidis, the Deputy Governor of Health Georgios Dalakouras, the Delegated Councillor Stelios Ignatiadis and the Director of the Office of the Regional Governor Vassilis Mavridis.
In addition, the airport is linked to the internationally recognized Egnatia Aviation Flight Training College, which operates in the region, thus enhancing the attraction of new students and further strengthening the aviation potential of Kavala.
