SYRIZA urged on Monday left-of-center parties to submit a motion of no confidence against the government over its handling of the Tempe disaster.

“The presidium of the parliamentary group of SYRIZA-PS, which met today, reiterates that progressive parties must immediately submit a motion of no confidence against the government,” the announcement stated.
“It is necessary for Parliament to finally align with society,” it added.
For several weeks, opposition parties have been discussing the possibility of a no-confidence vote against the government over its handling of the Tempe disaster. SYRIZA has been pushing for an immediate submission, while PASOK prefers to wait until the release of the experts’ report.
