On November 5, 2024, students in Athens gathered to demand increased funding for education and to support free public education.
On November 5, 2024, students in Athens gathered to demand increased funding for education and to support free public education. Organized by the Athens Students' Union, the protest saw middle and high school students join university students in a march through the city center to the parliament building.
Teachers also showed solidarity with the students, supporting their call for greater investment in education and the strengthening of public schooling. Additionally, demonstrators voiced support for Palestine, chanting "Freedom for Palestine" as part of their rally.
