Quiet hours change in Greece from October 1 – What applies for the Winter period

According to regulations, during the winter period noise that disturbs public peace is prohibited at the following times:
Afternoon: 15:30 – 17:30
Night: 22:00 – 07:30
During these hours, loud work, use of noisy machinery, loud music, or any other disruptive activity is forbidden.
For the summer period (April 1 – September 30), the quiet hours are different:
Afternoon: 15:00 – 17:30
Night: 23:00 – 07:00
Compliance is monitored by the Police, and violations can lead to penalties.
Penalties
Under the law, violations may result in up to five months’ imprisonment or a fine of up to 150 daily units.
Activities Prohibited During Quiet Hours
Noisy work or activities, unless urgently required and authorized by the local police chief (e.g., public utility works).
Loud use of musical instruments, radios, televisions, shouting, noisy dancing, or other disturbances in private homes or public places.
Singing, shouting, or playing loud music in streets, squares, public spaces, or vehicles.
Noisy games in cafés, pool halls, or entertainment venues, as well as loud conversations among patrons.
Loud disputes, loading/unloading of goods from trucks, or noisy vehicle engine operation while stationary.
Use or testing of sirens, alarms, or similar devices without emergency cause.
