PASOK accuses presidential nominee Tasoulas of allocating €960,000 in last-minute subsidies
PASOK main opposition party on Wednesday accused presidential nominee Konstantinos Tasoulas of allocating €960,000 in “last-minute” subsidies to his electoral district.
In a statement, PASOK alleged that Tasoulas, on his final day as speaker of the House on January 16, signed four funding decisions benefiting various entities in his constituency.
According to the statement, which referenced accompanying documents, Tasoulas approved €125,000 for the Holy Metropolis of Ioannina, €30,000 for the Regional Theater of Ioannina, €5,000 for the Ipirotiki Estia (House of Epirotes) association, and €815,685 for the construction of the Military Historical Museum in Konitsa.
PASOK criticized the alleged actions, saying they “reflect a deeply old-school partisan mentality and an extraordinarily arrogant attitude.”
