New Left Party condemns Israel's offensive against Lebanon
In a statement shared on the party's social media, the Netanyahu government was accused of destabilizing peace and security in the Middle East with its actions.
The statement emphasized the significant responsibility of the European Union (EU) and the United States (US) in the conflict, saying:
"No one in the EU and US can remain silent in the face of crimes against humanity and the looming chaos of prolonged war in our region. The tolerance shown towards Israel’s war crimes and genocide, and the continued military support of a government that repeatedly violates international law, makes the EU and US accountable."
The New Left Party also urged the government to immediately impose sanctions against Israel, recognize the State of Palestine, and take all necessary measures at the European and international levels to enforce United Nations resolutions.
