Eleven New Democracy MPs have submitted a question in parliament asking what measures the government intends to take against what “aggressive real estate and business purchases in remote areas by Turkish capital appearing as Greek or European businesses.”
The signatories, among them former minister Evripidis Stylianidis, Charalampos Athanasiou and Giorgos Karasmanis, state that the transactions are taking place in sensitive border areas, such as Thrace and eastern Aegean islands.
The MPs also requested information on the ownership of foreign-based bad loan funds that they said are auctioning properties in such areas.
