In the celebration of the national independence anniversary of Greece, a 'cross' was drawn on the mosque in the Greek Cypriot side and 'death to Turks' threats were written.

In the city of Limassol, a far-rightist group shouted slogans, "Death to Turks, death to Turk", "Turks, Mongols, murderers", "Death to all Turks, 1821" in the march with banners in 1821.
