Mitsotakis speaks on the phone with US Secretary of State Blinken

Prime Minister Kiryakos Mitsotakis and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken reportedly spoke on the phone.
According to a statement released by the Prime Minister's Office, during the telephone conversation between Mitsotakis and Blinken, the situation in Gaza, the developments in the Red Sea and the dangers facing freedom of navigation in the region were discussed.
During the meeting, bilateral relations were discussed ahead of the US-Greece Strategic Dialogue Meeting planned to be held in Washington in February.
Government Spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis, while answering the questions of journalists, stated that Mitsotakis was ill due to the H1N1 virus and that it was therefore difficult to realise his recently planned visit to the USA.
