According to the statement from the initiative, the vessel Familla Madeira was targeted by a drone near the port of Sidi Abu Said in Tunisia, less than 500 meters from the shore. No injuries were reported in the incident.

The statement emphasized that the attack occurred within Tunisian territorial waters, describing it as “a new escalation in Israel’s aggression.” It also highlighted that Tunisia’s sovereignty had been violated.

The initiative noted that Israel has recently carried out attacks not only in Gaza but also in Syria, Lebanon, and Yemen. It recalled the May attack on the Conscience, a ship of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, which aimed to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, off the coast of Malta.

“Our determination will not be deterred by Israel’s attacks; we continue our journey resolutely,” the statement read, adding that governments supporting Israel, including the Greek government, bear responsibility for the incident.
