kipi of Evros: Arrest of a woman who tried to leave Greece with a "missing" minor
The arrest of a foreign woman who was found to be prosecuted with an Interpol UK Red Notice of International Search for the offences of "Crime against the family/abduction and crimes against children", was made at the border crossing point of Kipi Evros, by police officers of the Kipi Passport Control Department of the Alexandroupolis Police Directorate.
Specifically, as stated in today's police statement, the perpetrator went to the Border Crossing Point Kipi with a private passenger car, in which her minor child was also on board, with the aim of making an exit from our country.
During the check, however, it was established that the aforementioned Red Notice of International Search has been issued against her, while in addition, the UK authorities have registered her minor child in the Interpol database as a 'missing person'.
The arrested woman will be brought to the Prosecutor of the Thrace Appeals Court, while her minor child was transferred by order of the Deputy Prosecutor of Alexandroupolis Plenary Court to the Alexandroupolis hospital.
