Greece left 72 immigrants to die Irregular migrants, whose engines were dismantled and put on life rafts by the Greek Coast Guard, were pushed back into Turkish territorial waters.

A total of 72 irregular migrants were rescued in three separate push-backs in 31st January, in one night by the Greek Coast Guard. 35 irregular migrants, who were put on two life rafts with their engines dismantled, were rescued by the Greek security forces off the coast of Marmaris-Turkey.
Once again off the coast of Marmaris-Turkey, 37 irregular migrants were rescued in rubber boats whose engines were dismantled in two separate push-back incidents in the morning at the same day, while a person who was considered to be a migrant smuggler was caught.
