Greek Communist Party Union plans solidarity visit to Palestine

Members of the All-Workers Militant Front (PAME), a trade union affiliated with the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), will carry out a solidarity visit to Palestine from October 12 to 16, 2025, to express support for the Palestinian people.

In a statement, PAME announced that a delegation of union representatives will travel to Gaza, Ramallah, and Jerusalem, where they will meet with Palestinian trade unions, labor organizations, and civil society groups. The visit aims to send a message of “solidarity, friendship, and common struggle.”

The statement condemned Israel’s “occupation and genocide” policies, emphasizing that “Greek workers stand with the Palestinian people in their struggle for freedom.”

PAME also drew attention to the nationwide 24-hour general strike scheduled for October 14, in protest against a new labor law extending working hours to 13 per day.

“As workers fight for their own rights, they also stand in solidarity with the dignified resistance of the Palestinian people,”
the statement added.

Reaffirming its long-standing position, PAME reiterated support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, and concluded with the slogan:

“No to imperialist wars – Freedom for Palestine. The solidarity of peoples is our strongest weapon.”
