Greece sends aid to earthquake victims in Türkiye by plane

In the statement made by the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, it was stated that upon the instruction of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, it was decided to send aid consisting of emergency supplies and health supplies to alleviate the wounds of earthquake victims.
Climate Crisis and Civil Protection Minister Christos Stilianidis and Civil Protection Secretary General Vasilios Papageorgiou will personally accompany the humanitarian aid supplies, which contain 7,500 blankets, 1500 beds and 500 tents that can be used both as a shelter and as a mobile practice.
Turkish authorities, Türkiye's Ambassador to Athens Çağatay Erciyes and AEGEAN Airlines will carry out 5 flights to Türkiye for humanitarian aid sent in coordination with the EU Commission within the framework of the European Union (EU) Civil Protection Mechanism.
Greece had sent two separate search and rescue teams to Türkiye, one on Monday and the other yesterday.
