Taxi drivers across Attica are set to stage a 48-hour strike on Wednesday and Thursday, November 5 and 6, following a decision by the Attica Taxi Drivers’ Union (SATA).
Taxi drivers across Attica are set to stage a 48-hour strike on Wednesday and Thursday, November 5 and 6, following a decision by the Attica Taxi Drivers’ Union (SATA).
As part of the strike action, SATA has announced a rally to be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the intersection of Sp. Patsi Street and Athinon Avenue in Athens.
Drivers are calling for several key changes, including unrestricted access to bus lanes, revisions to the government’s electric vehicle policy, and an extension of the deadline for mandatory registration of fully electric taxis until 2035.
