Applications for electricity aid start on June 15

Deputy Finance Minister Theodoros Skilakakis announced that the electricity aid platform will open on June 15.
It was stated that the platform regarding the electricity aid will open on June 15 for applications and will remain open for about 15 days until the end of the month.
The amendment to the regulation on electricity compensation, which can reach 600 euros, has been submitted to the Parliament. According to the regulation, beneficiaries will provide financial support to cover some of the increase in the cost of electricity consumption in the invoices issued between December 1, 2021 - May 31, 2022.
The aid will account for 60% of the increase in electricity bills for all accounts from December 2021 to May 2022 in June.
This aid will be deposited into the IBAN accounts of the beneficiaries and will be given to those with an annual income of up to 45 thousand euros. Aid will not exceed 600 euros per consumer.
