A new poll sees the light of day in the run-up to the 21 May elections.
Alco poll: 6.2 % difference between New Democracy and Syriza

The nationwide survey conducted by Alco and presented to the Alpha TV station was conducted between 18-22 April 2023.

In the voting intention, New Democracy leads SYRIZA by 6.2 points. Specifically, the New Democracy party has 31.6% compared to 25.4% for SYRIZA. They are followed by PASOK with 8.9%, KKE with 6.1%, Hellenic Solution with 3.8%, MerA25 with 3.7% and Kasidiaris' Greeks with 3.2%. The undecided vote reaches 11.7%.

On whether Kyriakos Mitsotakis or Alexis Tsipras should be given a second chance, 36% of respondents choose Kyriakos Mitsotakis, 26% choose Alexis Tsipras and 32% answer neither.

Asked if SYRIZA would govern with Alexis Tsipras as prime minister, 43% say things "would be worse", 26% say "the same" and 24% say "better". 7% of respondents say I don't know.
