A total of 41 rural and forest fires have been reported across Greece in the last 24 hours.

 According to Fire Brigade 36 of these fires were successfully contained in their initial stages, while firefighting efforts continue for the remaining five.

Regarding the major wildfire in northeastern Attica, there are no active fronts at this time. However, strong ground firefighting forces remain in the area to manage scattered hotspots within the burned regions.

Fire Brigade reports that 702 firefighters, including 27 forest commando units and 199 vehicles are currently engaged in the operation. Additionally, from early morning until 1:00 PM periodic water drops were carried out by 10 aircraft and 10 helicopters.

Meanwhile, Hellenic Police announced that vehicle traffic has been fully restored in areas affected by the fires. The final section of Dionysou Avenue, from Drosia to Nea Makri, which had been closed since Tuesday morning, has now reopened.
