Tax obligations till the end of the year
The payment of income tax, Single Property Tax (ENFIA), value-added tax (VAT) and road tax are the most important obligations that taxpayers must cover by December 31.
At the same time, declarations must be submitted for retroactive amounts received by employees, pensioners and other categories of taxpayers in 2023.
For these amounts, regardless of the year they are due, they must submit amending declarations by December 31, 2024.
Declarations must be submitted for the justification of documents and the transfer of real estate, while those who wish to engage in short-term leases in the center of Athens should hurry to issue a property registration number: As of January 1, 2025, permits for new accommodations in the first three districts of the Municipality of Athens will be frozen.
