The National Azan Recing Competition held for the first time in Bulgaria
The Bulgarian Muslims Chief Mufti organized the National Azan Reading Competition for the first time. There was great interest in the program, which took place at the "Kırcaali New Mosque" hosted by the Kırcaali Regional Mufti.
The Grand Mufti of Bulgarian Muslims Dr. Mustafa Haci, Social Affairs Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Sofia Erdal Atalay, Deputy Chief Mufti Ahmed Hasan, Kardzhali Regional Mufti Basri Eminefendi, Haskovo Regional Mufti Erhan Recep, Smolyan Regional Mufti Necmi Dıbov, Former Zağra Regional Mufti Seyhan Mehmed, Jury Members from Presidency of Religious Affairs Sufi Music Choir Conductor in Turkey Dr. Ali Osman Alaca (head of the jury), Sliven (Islimiye) Long Term Religious Officer Selami İlhan (member), Kırcaali Yeni Mosque Imam-Orator Nurullah Taşkın (member) and many guests attended the event.
The opening of the competition was made with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Sliven (Islimiye) Long Term Religious Officer Selami İlhan.
Then the protocol talks started. Kardzhali Regional Mufti Basri Eminefendi, Deputy Chief Mufti Ahmed Hasan, Social Affairs Counselor of Turkish Embassy in Sofia Erdal Atalay, Chief Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hacı took the floor and shared his thoughts about the competition with the participants. Afterwards, a slide show about the highlights of the Azan reciting contest held in Mestanlı district was shown.
Presidency of Religious Affairs Sufi Music Choir Chief Dr. After Ali Osman Alaca explained the criteria of the competition and the scoring system, the main part of the competition was started. The order of the contestants was determined by drawing lots. Afterwards, the imams gave their performances in turn and enchanted the listeners.
Afterwards, the jury evaluated the scores. Meanwhile, children from the Kardzhali Qoran Course sang hymns. Then, the names of the religious officials who were ranked as a result of the evaluation made by the jury were read.

Finally, gifts were presented to the speakers, members of the jury, and the contestants and the program ended with the prayer of our Chief Mufti.
