The final of the National Basic Religious Knowledge Competition organized by Bulgaria's Grand Mufti's Office for students attending summer Quran courses was held in Mestanlı with strong participation.

Students from summer Quran courses across Bulgaria who qualified for the national final after placing in regional competitions represented their respective regions at the event. The final was held in an atmosphere of knowledge, excitement and community, with successful students receiving awards.

The program was attended by Bulgaria's Grand Mufti Dr. Ahmed Hasanov, Deputy Grand Muftis Beyhan Mehmed and Birali Birali, Murat Pulat, Deputy Consul at the Consulate General of Türkiye in Plovdiv, Mestanlı Municipal Council President Ersin Ömer, regional muftis, Hilal Demir and Bahattin Güney from the Academy of Türkiye's Ministry of National Education, officials and experts from the Grand Mufti's educational and religious guidance departments, the principal of Mestanlı Imam Hatip High School, imams and numerous guests.

Students impress with performances
During the final ceremony, students attending the summer Quran courses performed religious hymns and recited poems. A short theatrical sketch prepared by the students was also presented to the audience.

The students' performances were well received by participants and added a festive and meaningful atmosphere to the event.

Speakers highlight importance of religious education
A series of speeches focused on the role of summer Quran courses in children's religious, moral and spiritual development.

The speakers included Kırcaali Regional Mufti Basri Eminefendi, Mestanlı Municipal Council President Ersin Ömer, Hilal Demir from the Academy of Türkiye's Ministry of National Education, Deputy Consul Murat Pulat of the Consulate General of Türkiye in Plovdiv, Deputy Grand Mufti Beyhan Mehmed and Grand Mufti Dr. Ahmed Hasanov.

The speakers congratulated the participating students and expressed their appreciation to the teachers and families who have contributed to their education. The students were also wished continued success throughout their academic careers.

Successful students receive awards
Following the speeches, students who achieved top rankings in the National Basic Religious Knowledge Competition received various gifts on behalf of Bulgaria's Grand Mufti's Office.

Sixteen students who achieved first place at different levels were also presented with school bags containing stationery and educational materials by Kırcaali Regional Mufti Basri Eminefendi.

The final ceremony concluded with a prayer led by Grand Mufti Dr. Ahmed Hasanov.

The organizers also congratulated all students who continued their religious education with dedication throughout the summer, as well as their teachers and families. They expressed hope that the students would apply the religious and moral knowledge they acquired to their daily lives and continue to achieve success.
