HÖH delegation meets Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş in Ankara
Representatives of Bulgaria’s Movement for Rights and Freedoms (HÖH) met with Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş to discuss bilateral relations and opportunities to strengthen political and institutional cooperation between Türkiye and Bulgaria.
A delegation from Bulgaria’s Movement for Rights and Freedoms (HÖH) met with Turkish Grand National Assembly Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş in Ankara on October 2, according to a report by Kırcaalihaber.
The discussions focused on Türkiye-Bulgaria relations and ways to deepen cooperation through sustained political engagement and institutional dialogue.
The participants also highlighted HÖH’s role in maintaining and developing relations between the two neighbouring countries. Long-standing political and social ties were described as an important foundation for expanding bilateral cooperation.
HÖH DELEGATION INCLUDES BULGARIAN PARLIAMENTARIANS AND MAYORS
The delegation included Ayten Sabri, deputy speaker of Bulgaria’s National Assembly, and HÖH deputy chairmen Halil Letifov and Erol Mümün, the mayor of Kardzhali (Kırcaali), as well as Nida Ahmedov, mayor of Kaolinovo.
Other participants were Bulgarian MP and HÖH Central Executive Council member Atice Aliyeva-Veli; Necmi Ali, a Central Executive Council member and mayor of Dzhebel (Cebel); Nevhis Mustafa, mayor of Dulovo; and İlknur Kazım, mayor of Momchilgrad (Mestanlı).
The meeting brought together representatives of national and local institutions from Bulgaria and Türkiye, underlining the role of parliamentary contacts and local government ties in bilateral relations.
