Swedish police silence individual speaking against Quran burning

Patrick Tovivanen, a Sweden who was removed by the police from the area where the provocation was organised because he voiced his loud objection to the attack on the Holy Quran in Sweden, said that Salwan Momika of Iraqi origin was playing with Sweden like a toy by disrupting the system.

Swedish Tovivanen, who criticised the burning of the Holy Quran in Sergelstorg Square by Iraqi Momika in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, and shouted behind the security tape, was silenced by the civilian police and removed from the scene.

Tovivanen, who said that Momika was playing with Sweden like a toy and disrupting the system while showing his reaction at the scene, said in his statement, "Something ugly is being done here and the Swedish system is being disrupted. Whether right-wing or left-wing, a politician or someone else living in Sweden should be calm and not cause chaos. Such actions must be stopped."

"Are you defending this man who ruined Sweden?"

Tovivanen said to a citizen who defended Momika's actions when he voiced his reaction to the provocation, "You are an old man, you will soon be in a coffin. Are you defending this man who ruined Sweden?" he said.

Both young people who showed their reactions loudly were detained by the police and taken away from the area.

Momika left the scene in an armoured police vehicle after the protest and was accompanied by 20 police vehicles, 10 of which were armoured, and approximately 100 police officers.

Meanwhile, Stockholm Police stated that Momika had applied for permission to burn the Holy Quran at 20 locations across the country within two months and that all of these applications would most likely be approved.
