YTB President Abdulhadi Turus congratulates Bulgaria’s newly elected Chief Mufti Ahmed Hasanov
Abdulhadi Turus, President of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), has extended his congratulations to Dr. Ahmed Hasanov following his election as Chief Mufti of Bulgaria during the National Muslim Conference, the highest representative body of the country’s Muslim community.
In a message released after the election, Turus wished Hasanov success in his new role and emphasized the historical and institutional importance of the Office of the Chief Mufti for Bulgaria’s Muslim population. He expressed confidence that the institution would continue its efforts to strengthen the religious and cultural life of Muslims in the country while fostering unity and solidarity among the community.
Turus also said he hoped the election outcome would prove beneficial for Bulgaria’s Muslim community and contribute positively to the preservation of its religious and cultural heritage.
Hasanov, who previously served as Deputy Chief Mufti, was elected to lead the institution after years of service within Bulgaria’s Muslim religious administration. His appointment marks the beginning of a new chapter for one of the country’s most important religious bodies.
