Yassıköy Municipality's March 8 International Women's Day conference attracts great interest

Yassıköy Municipality successfully celebrated International Women's Day on March 8 with the conference titled "Women and Education: A Right That Changes Lives."

Organized under the leadership of the Yassıköy Municipality Gender Equality Policy Department, the conference took place on Friday, March 7, 2025, at the new municipal building in Yassıköy. The event garnered significant interest, with the hall filling to capacity and many women standing to attend.

The conference began with an opening speech by Sibel Hacı, Yassıköy Municipality's Deputy Mayor responsible for Culture, Gender Equality, Social Protection, and Public Health. Following her remarks, Yassıköy Mayor Caner İmam addressed the attendees, sharing his thoughts on the significance of the event and International Women's Day. Mayor İmam extended his heartfelt congratulations to all women on this special occasion.

Throughout the program, female speakers from various sectors shared their insights on issues affecting women, shedding light on critical topics relevant to women's empowerment and education.

At the conclusion of the conference, Mayor Caner İmam presented flowers and chocolates as a token of appreciation to the speakers and all women attending the event.
