Yassıköy Municipality hosts ‘Women and Education’ conference
In celebration of International Women’s Day, Yassıköy Municipality organized a conference titled "Women and Education – A Right That Changes Lives", which garnered significant interest.
Held on March 7 at the new municipal building, the conference commenced with an opening speech by Deputy Mayor Sibel Hacı, who is responsible for Culture, Gender Equality, Social Protection, and Public Health. Mayor Caner İmam also attended the event and extended his best wishes to all women on this special occasion.
The conference highlighted the success stories of women who have made strides in male-dominated fields, emphasizing the critical role of education in empowering women.
At the conclusion of the event, Mayor Caner İmam presented flowers and chocolates to the speakers and all attending women as a token of appreciation.
