The Yassıköy Municipal Council has decided to donate a municipally owned plot of land to the Greek Police Force to address the housing needs of the local Border Security Unit.

During the municipal council meeting, the transfer of a portion of the land where the Yassıköy Cultural Center is also located was discussed, and the donation was unanimously approved.
Yassıköy Mayor Caner İmam, in his statement regarding the decision, emphasized that this move would increase the value of the region. He also referred to a specific clause in the agreement, stating that the building must be constructed within the next eight years; otherwise, the ownership will revert to the municipality.
