The municipalities of Xanthi, Komotini and Mustafçova warned the inhabitants of the municipalities to conserve drinking water, which is decreasing due to the increasing heat. In the statements, it was pointed out that despite the decrease in resources due to increasing drought, serious problems will not be experienced if drinking water is used carefully and economically, and drinking water should never be used for garden and field irrigation, car and road washing.
It was noted that controls will be more frequent in settlements and villages where water shortage is experienced intensively and fines will be imposed if illegal water users are caught.
In the statements made by all three municipalities, municipality residents were invited to use drinking water economically.
Residents of the municipalities who commit violations were also requested to be reported.It was reminded that fines will be imposed on those who do not comply with the law, use illegal water and irrigate their gardens and fields.
