Women’s branch of Xanthi Turkish Union hosts "Tea Day" event
The event featured an exhibition titled “Embroidered Works of Turkish Classical Music” prepared by former İTB Sewing and Embroidery Course instructor Lütfiye Nihatoğlu, which was well-received by attendees.
Among the distinguished guests were Nadire Ömer, wife of the Mufti of Xanthi, Mustafa Trampa; Şerife Mustafaoğlu, wife of Xanthi MP Hüseyin Zeybek; Münevver Ago, wife of Xanthi Turkish Union President Ozan Ahmetoğlu; and Özlem Otuzbir, wife of the President of the Western Thrace Minority Graduates Association, Hüseyin Baltacı. İTB course instructors and other invitees also attended the event.
The event was hosted by Zeynur Bargan, General Secretary of the Xanthi Turkish Union. Sevgi Sezai, President of the İTB Women’s Branch, gave the opening speech, expressing gratitude to those who participated in the traditional Tea Day and emphasizing the importance of bringing women together. Sezai also thanked Lütfiye Nihatoğlu for adding a special touch to the event with her “Embroidered Works of Turkish Classical Music” exhibition.
Attendees enjoyed refreshments prepared by members of the İTB Women’s Branch.
