Western Thrace Youth gather at BATÖB’s Eid dinner
The Western Thrace Student Union (BATÖB) organized a festive dinner on Monday, March 31, bringing together young people from Western Thrace in the village of Eşekçili, located in the Rhodope region.
The event was attended by Deputy Consul of the Turkish Consulate in Komotini, Ali Tosun; Chairman of the Western Thrace Turkish Advisory Board and Elected Mufti of Xanthi, Mustafa Trampa, along with his esteemed spouse; Elected Mufti of Komotini, İbrahim Şerif; Rhodope MP, Özgür Ferhat; Xanthi MP, Burhan Baran; President of the Komotini Turkish Youth Union (GTGB), Sedat Hasan; and President of BİHLİMDER, Mehmet Emin Ahmet. Additionally, President of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), Abdullah Eren, joined the event via an online connection to address the youth.
Representatives from various organizations, including the DEB Youth, GTGB New Generation Branch, İTB Youth Branch, GAT, Ketenlik Youth Association, BTTDD Bursa Youth Branch, Köprü Association, and students from Celal Bayar High School, participated in the program.
In a statement shared on BATÖB’s social media account, the organization expressed gratitude to YTB President Abdullah Eren for his support, as well as to the BATÖB branches in Ankara, Edirne, Eskişehir, and Istanbul, and to all guests involved in the event. The post concluded with a message of unity and confidence in the future of Western Thrace’s youth: "Western Thrace youth stand together and in safe hands."
