Western Thrace Turks Represented at Antalya Diplomacy Forum

Western Thrace Turks are being represented at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, a gathering that brings together world leaders, government officials, diplomats, and academics. The forum, continuing under the theme "Embracing Diplomacy in a Divided World," features a delegation led by Mustafa Trampa, the Chairman of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board and the Imam of Xanthi, who represents the Turkish community of Western Thrace.
The delegation, which includes key figures such as the Mufti of Komotini Ibrahim Serif, Aydın Ahmet, President of the Western Thrace Turkish Teachers’ Union, Sedat Hasan, President of the Gumulcine Turkish Youth Union, Hüseyin Baltacı, President of the Western Thrace High School Graduates Association, and Çiğdem Asafoğlu, President of the Friendship, Equality, and Peace Party, has been meeting with many politicians, diplomats, and human rights advocates to raise awareness of the issues facing the Turkish minority in the region.
In addition to participating in high-level discussions, the delegation has had the opportunity to share the concerns of the Western Thrace Turks with a number of media outlets present at the forum. They also engaged in numerous one-on-one meetings with key officials.
The 4th Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF2025), held under the patronage of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, is taking place from April 11-13, 2025. This year’s theme, “Embracing Diplomacy in a Divided World,” reflects the urgent need for diplomacy to reassert itself as a stabilizing force in an increasingly fragmented global environment.
