Western Thrace Turks Association hosts Ramadan Iftar in Meschede
The event, held on Sunday, March 8, was arranged on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan by the association, which is affiliated with the Federation of Western Thrace Turks in Europe (ABTTF).
Strong Community Participation
The iftar program took place at the association’s local venue and was attended by board members, association members, and their families, including spouses and children.
Religious officials and representatives from the DITIB Meschede Fatih Mosque also participated in the gathering, contributing to the event’s spiritual atmosphere.
Strengthening Community Bonds
Organizers highlighted that the well-attended iftar helped strengthen unity, solidarity, and social ties among Western Thrace Turks living in Meschede and surrounding areas.
Following the adhan (call to prayer) and a communal prayer, participants broke their fast together and shared the evening meal.
Community leaders emphasized that such gatherings during Ramadan play an important role in preserving cultural identity and reinforcing bonds among diaspora communities across Europe.
