Western Thrace Turkish Women’s platform visits Edirne for cultural tour
Accompanying them was İlayda Ünal, the wife of Türkiye's Consul General in Gümülcine, Aykut Ünal.
The cultural tour took place on October 3, during which the women from Western Thrace explored the historic sites and museums of Edirne, guided by local experts.
Governor Yunus Sezer briefly met with the women, engaging in conversations during their visit.
The delegation, led by Sibel Ahdullah Hasan, the spokesperson for the Western Thrace Turkish Women’s Platform, returned to Western Thrace later that same day.
In a social media post regarding the visit, the Edirne Governor's Office stated, "Today, we hosted our compatriots who came to our city at the invitation of First Lady Canan Sezer, under the supervision of our esteemed Consul General's wife, İlayda Ünal, from İskeçe and Gümülcine. We were delighted to host our compatriots on this beautiful day, where they had the opportunity to explore the historical and cultural richness of Edirne."
The Western Thrace Turkish Women’s Platform also expressed their gratitude on social media, stating, "On October 3, at the invitation of Canan Sezer, the wife of Edirne Governor Yunus Sezer, we had the honor of being guests of İlayda Ünal, the wife of Turkey's Consul General in Gümülcine.
