In its message, the Board extended wishes for a successful school year to all students, teachers, and parents, while stressing concerns over rights and restrictions:

“Despite all the difficulties and obstacles we face as the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace, we wish a successful and prosperous 2025–2026 school year to all our students, teachers, and parents.

We hope for a school year in which our autonomous educational rights are not violated, arbitrary practices are avoided, and past infringements are remedied, with full respect shown to these rights.”

The BTTADK underlined that the protection and implementation of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority’s autonomous educational rights, safeguarded under the Treaty of Lausanne, remains its foremost expectation.
