UMUT (HOPE) list visits local authorities and Tobacco Producers’ Cooperative
Tarkan Multaza, mayoral candidate for Kozlukebir Municipality and head of the opposition UMUT List, together with municipal council members, paid visits to regional officials and the Thrace Tobacco Producers’ Cooperative.
Multaza was accompanied by municipal councilors Ayhan Yusuf, Güner Reşit, and Ferhat Kara Hüseyin during the meetings.
The delegation met with Ridvan Molla Isa and Ridvan Hacı Mehmet, Deputy Governors of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Region, at their offices.
Later, the group visited the Thrace Tobacco Producers’ Cooperative, where they held discussions with Cooperative President Sinan Ahmet.
Following the visits, Multaza made a statement:
“By visiting the Thrace Tobacco Producers’ Cooperative, we discussed the problems of our region and the necessary work ahead. We also received updates on the issues raised during the recent World Tobacco Growers Association (UNITAB) meeting in Naples, Italy. Moreover, we congratulated the Cooperative for becoming, for the first time in its history, the only institution representing tobacco across Greece. We wish them continued success in their work.”
