Two candidates in Rhodope and one in İskeçe running for bar association presidencies
The current president of the Rhodope Bar Association, Dimitris Ereliadis, announced that he will not seek re-election. His term concludes on a positive note, coinciding with the successful securing of substantial funding for the restoration of the old courthouse and the maintenance of the existing Komotini courthouse.
The elections for the new president and board of directors of the Rhodope Bar Association will take place on November 30, 2025. Two well-known lawyers are running for the presidency: Anna Apostolidou, daughter of Vasileios, and Sofia Michalitsoudi, daughter of Petros — both recognized for their active involvement in community affairs and positive professional reputations.
A total of 328 registered lawyers are eligible to vote in the Rhodope Bar Association elections.

İskeçe: Despina Chatzifotiadou Sole Candidate for Bar Association President
In İskeçe, Despina Chatzifotiadou, the current president of the İskeçe Bar Association, is the sole candidate for the presidency and is expected to renew her term in the upcoming November 30 elections.
Her candidacy is accompanied by a unified ballot (“Eniaio Psifodeltio”) consisting of 13 candidates for the new Board of Directors:

Election Procedure
Nationwide elections for the Presidents and Boards of Bar Associations will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2025.
If no presidential candidate secures an absolute majority (50% plus one vote), a runoff election will take place between the top two candidates on Sunday, December 7, 2025.
Voting in the İskeçe Bar Association will take place at the Association’s offices from 07:00 a.m. to 07:00 p.m.
Participation is mandatory for all lawyers registered by September 30, 2025, in accordance with Article 103, paragraph 4 of Law 4194/2013.
