Turkish Consul General Ünal pays meaningful visit to Dündarlı village

Türkiye’s Consul General in Komotini, Aykut Ünal, paid a meaningful visit to Dündarlı village, located within the Kozlukebir Municipality of Rodopi, where he met with members of the local Turkish minority community.
The visit took place on Friday, October 10, and Consul General Ünal was accompanied by several prominent community figures, including Komotini Mufti İbrahim Şerif, Kozlukebir Mayor Erdem Hüseyin, former Bursa Osmangazi Mayor and Dündarlı native Mustafa Dündar, Democratic Power list leader and former Mayor Rıdvan Ahmet, UMUT list leader Tarkan Multaza, and Gümülcine Turkish Youth Union President Sedat Hasan.
As part of the visit, Ünal attended Friday prayers at the Dündarlı village mosque and addressed the congregation afterward. He expressed his gratitude for the villagers’ hospitality and underlined the importance of unity, solidarity, and community spirit.
“The bonds of heart between Türkiye and our kinsmen in Western Thrace will always remain strong,” Ünal said, reaffirming Ankara’s continued moral and cultural support for the Turkish minority in the region.
