Train services resume on Alexandroupolis – Orestiada route starting today
Starting Monday, October 21, 2024, passenger train services on the Alexandroupolis – Orestiada – Alexandroupolis route will resume following the restoration of the railway line and the assurance of safe circulation by the Greek Railways Infrastructure Manager (OSE). This information was confirmed by both OSE and Hellenic Train.
The following train schedules will be in effect from October 21, 2024:
Train 1680 will depart from Alexandroupolis (Central) at 05:15 and arrive in Orestiada at 06:53.
Train 1681 will depart from Orestiada at 07:10 and arrive in Alexandroupolis (Central) at 09:11.
Train 1682 will depart from Alexandroupolis (Port) at 15:20 and arrive in Orestiada at 17:13. The Orestiada – Ormenio section will be served by bus.
Train 1683 will depart from Orestiada at 18:49 and arrive in Alexandroupolis (Central) at 20:35. The Ormenio – Orestiada section will also be served by bus.
For the section between Orestiada and Ormenio, bus services will replace the train route.
